Nairobi, Kenya—29th March 2025 | The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) men’s volleyball team is stepping up its preparations for the 2025 Men’s African Volleyball Club Championship, set to take place in Misurata, Libya, from April 17 to April 30, 2025.As of March 28, 2025, the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) has received 34 registrations for the tournament.
Currently in camp in Mombasa, the team is undergoing intensive training as they aim to deliver a standout performance on the continental stage. Team captain Dennis Omollo has expressed confidence in their progress, highlighting significant improvements from last season.
KPA secured a spot in the championship after finishing third in the Kenya Volleyball Federation National Men’s League playoffs last June at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, in Nairobi.
KPA will be joined by General Service Unit (GSU) and reigning Kenya Volleyball Federation National League champions Prisons Kenya, who will also represent Kenya in the prestigious tournament.

As they gear up for the continental showdown, KPA is also enjoying a strong domestic season, currently sitting in third place with 34 points in the 2024-2025 Kenya Volleyball Federation National League standings. With the playoffs approaching, the team remains focused on maintaining momentum both locally and internationally.
