Abuja Nigeria, April 9, 2025 – The 2025 Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship is garnering momentum with enthralling matches schedule for Wednesday in the quarterfinals.

Following their 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-20) win over Sococim of Senegal in their round of sixteen tie two-time champions CFC will face a strong Litto team from Cameroun for a place in the semifinals. Litto made it through to the last eight in the championship following their 3-1 (25-22, 25-18, 18-25, 25-17) over Chief Naval of Staff of Nigeria. This is a team that can upset, but CFC could equally pass through.

Championship record holders Al Ahly of Egypt sealed their place in the quarterfinals with a resounding 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-15) win over Mayo Kani Evolution of Cameroun. AHL had an easy way out against this young Cameroun team, would they face a challenge against struggling Kenya Prison who escaped from an upset in the hands of Rwanda Police to win their Round of 16 tie 3-2 (25-23, 19-25, 25-20, 21-25, 15-10) in a thrilling showdown.

A win against Spiking Stars of Botswana show Kenya Pipeline booked their spot in the quarterfinals of the championship with a comfortable 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-6) victory. They will have to negotiate with APR from Rwanda for the bagging rights. APR of Rwanda dismissed La Loi of Congo DR 3-1 (25-18, 25-13, 22-25, 25-17). This is expected to be a good match.

Described by many as the ultimate showdown, but better still ‘’final before the final’’. It is Zamalek against KCB. Reigning champions Zamalek edged closer to defending the title after beating Descartes of Ivory Coast 3-0 (25-8, 25-15, 25-15), they now face the Kenyan side who clinched a solid victory against host Nigeria Customs Services 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-17). Are you ready for this?
