Abuja Nigeria, April 8, 2025 – CAVB Zone V Club Champions APR marched into the Quarterfinals with a 3-1 (25-18, 25-13, 22-25, 25-17) over DRC’s VC La Loi in Abuja, Nigeria.
La Loi tested APR’s prowess but lost the first set 18-25. A similar fate would await them losing the 2nd set 13-25.
La Loi found their footings to try and launch a zealous comeback and dominated throughout the 3rd set to run away with the set 25-22.
Knowing what is on stake, The Rwandans forced their way out to dismissed any possible comeback as they killed the 4th set 25-17 to secure a place in the last eight.
APR now faces Kenya Pipeline in the quarter-finals in a highly anticipated revenge clash following their 3-1 win in CAVB Zone V Club Championship final held recently in Kampala. APR dethroned Pipeline to claim the regional crown, setting the stage for a fierce rematch as the Kenyans seek to reclaim their dominance on the continental stage.
