After an impressive two years at Creighton University, Arthur Kaluma, a 6’8″ forward, has declared his intention to enter the 2023 NBA Draft.
In a statement released on Saturday, Kaluma expressed his gratitude to his family, coaches, and teammates, as well as the Blue Jay Nation, for their unwavering support and dedication.
“I am beyond grateful for the love and support that has helped me reach this point in my basketball journey,” Kaluma said in his statement. “After much prayer and thoughtful consideration, I have decided to enter the 2023 NBA Draft. I am excited to take this next step in my basketball journey and look forward to what the future holds.”
During his time at Creighton, Kaluma was a key player for the Blue Jays, averaging 10.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.
He was also named to the Big East All-Freshman team in 2022, and helped lead the team to the NCAA tournament in both of his seasons.
Kaluma’s decision to enter the NBA Draft was not entirely unexpected, as he has been considered a potential draft pick for some time now.
The young forward has impressed scouts and analysts with his athleticism, size, and versatility on the court, and many believe he has the potential to become a valuable asset for any NBA team.
With the NBA Draft still several months away, Kaluma will have plenty of time to prepare for the next stage of his career.
He will undoubtedly be working hard to fine-tune his skills and showcase his abilities to scouts and executives from around the league.

Art and his brother Adam Seiko debuted for the Uganda Men’s basketball team, known as the Silverbacks, during the AfroBasket 2021 qualifier.
This qualifier served as a pathway for the team to compete in the 2021 FIBA Africa Championship held in Kigali, Rwanda.
