Uganda Boxing Federation and Top Boy Promotions this morning unveiled energy drink product Sting as the its exclusive drink partner for Uganda Boxing Champions League.

The partnership valued at USD75,000 has a life span of two years.

As a platinum Sponsor, Sting will invest USD75,000, and also take care of venue, branding and fight night activations in the two year contract period.

The Uganda Boxing Champions league in its 15th Fight week started in December 2021 and will end in December 2022.

‘Our earlier task as Top Boy was to raise the commercial value of our boxers, I am glad that half way the journey, we are already realizing that, I thank our exiting partners and now welcome Sting into the Uganda Boxing Champions League family’. Said Sula Kamoga, CEO Top Boy Promotions.

The boxing Champions league airs live on a local TV channel NBS Sport every fortnight.

Sting has partnered with boxer Manny Pacquio internationally, a local partnership is also timely for the Ugandan sport.

‘We are excited with the partnership and we hope to grow Ugandan Boxing even past the two years’. Noted Grace Namutebi, Brand Manager Sting.

Uganda Boxing Champions League is a bi-monthly competition of the top four boxers in each of the eleven boxing categories.

‘Champions league was a new idea which was naively opposed by some people, I am happy that today we move the league to another level, I am happy to announce that all the boxing stakeholders will benefit from this partnership’. Said Moses Muhangi, President Uganda Boxing Federation.

Uganda Boxing Federation also used the UBCL to also select the Uganda National Boxing team ‘The Bombers’ who are now in camp for the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
