Innocent Tumushabe won 4\4 as his side Sinkers defeated Kireka Pool club 9-11 to go top the Uganda National Pool League table for the first time.

Tumushabe who was benched in the Midweek loss to Scrap Buyers Pool Club as an intentional Super Sub made his winning intention clear from the onset.

Simon “Computer” Lubulwa also inspired Scrap Buyers to 2 victories in 2 matches, both at Pacify Hotel against Sinkers and Upper Volta respectively
His 4/4 against Sinkers, including the game winning frame, was Buyers first 3 points of the league ahead of another win against Upper Volta.

Other top players including Habib Ssebuguzi and Fahad Ssewankambo remain inconsistent by their standards.

4th Seed Joseph Kasozi scored 4/4 for Mbale Pool Club as they notched an expected victory at Wakiso City Giants in a match where Top Seed Mansoor Bwanika was a shadow of himself.

Back from Suspension, Bob Kateregga remains Wakiso’s most impressive player so far, yet again with 3/4 though in a losing effort, including an Apple against Mansoor at the start of the second half.

League debutants Kansanga Pool Club led 0-8 against home team 408, before winning 06-14 to clinch all 4 points in a one-sided contest. Ivan Kafuleka, Andrew Kwezi and Fahad Luyombya were all impressive as they condemned the Ntinda based team to a 3rd consecutive defeat.

Ibrahim Kayanja (Musiraamu) won a nail-biting decisive game for Royal Giants against Capital Night’s Ian Kazibwe to guide his team to their 3rd win in as many matches. Ibra won 3 games, just like his team captain Bwire Mustapha. Other players like the impressive William Yiga, Andrew Kabuubi were efficient enough as Juma Tomusange came off the bench to win 2/2. Youngster Farouk Mutumba’s bright start continued as he recorded 3/4, only to be let down by his team-mates.

The National pool league continues this Thursday as Kireka Pool club hosts Club 408.
