Kenya’s Sharon Chepchumba bracing for KOVO try out

Kenyan Malkia Striker International, Sharon Chepchumba could land a dream move to the Korean Volleyball League (KOVO) next season.

The hard hitter who has become an integral part of the Kenya National team set up and KCB Volleyball Club is shortlisted for the 2022/23 foreign players try out.

The try out, set for 28th April 2022 pits Chepchumba against 46 other players from across the globe.

The Try out will be conducted via Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Fewer than 7 players will be picked to be traded to the seven Korean Volleyball League Women teams.

Chepchumba signed to Caan Athletics if is selected; will join a cast of African talents in Asia but notably the double African champion Laetitia Moma Bassoko who is playing at Gs Caltex Seoul, Lætitia Moma Bassoko joined V-League club in May 2021 and her team was 3rd on the log before the season was cancelled due to Covid-19.
