Mwesigwa Bannet, a 28-year-old hardware shop owner in Rukungiri, Uganda was -on Friday afternoon- handed a Toyota Rav 4 in a colourful ceremony held at Zone 7 bar and restaurant in Mbuya Kampala.
The car was a grand prize for the recently concluded Betsure World cup Maddness promotion in which he participated.
Mwesigwa was beeming with joy when the automobile was handed over to him by Bernard Musinguzi the Head of Branding and Marketing of Betsure in Uganda.
During the session , an evidently elated Bannet made public, the plans he had before getting the car.
“I am so happy that I have emerged as the winner of this brand new Rav4 during the World Cup campaign and I would love to thank the entire team at BetSure for making this happen and I was so lucky to be the overall winner because I used to stake around 1000shs on a daily,” he said.
I was planning to buy a car during my late 30’s but as per now the car is here I am now thinking of buying fuel and servicing it always,” he added
The promotion saw 29 Tecno smart phones and 3 motorcycles being given away to the other winners.
BetSure’s aim was to reward its loyal customers and to continue to invest in the development of a vibrant and responsible betting industry.
“During the World Cup Maddness campaign promotion,we gave out 29 Tecno smart phones each phone daily ,and three motorcycles -one per week- for three weeks to the customers who were participating and emerged as winners ” explained the BetSure Head of Branding and Marketing Benard Musinguzi.
To participate in the promotion, customers needed to bet a minimum of only Shs1000 to gain one entry into the daily prize draw.
Customers who placed bets of higher amounts earned more entries and also stood a higher chance of winning a daily prize.
