Match day six of the Handball Super League witnessed an exhilarating change of scenery as the competition moved beyond the capital to Luwero and Bombo.

The reigning champions and current leaders in the women’s tier, Police, further solidified their position at the top of the table with a remarkable victory by nine (32-23) over Ndejje ladies.

Having already secured five wins from as many games, the Lady-Cops team seems to be on a path towards another title triumph.

The team’s coaching department received a significant boost with the addition of Aziz Yakubu, who recently returned from Hungary after completing the prestigious International Coaching Course at the Hungarian University of Sports Science.

With a Diploma in Handball Coaching, Aziz has established himself as one of the highly sought-after coaches in the league.

His addition to the team not only enhances their expertise but also significantly boosts their potential to resist any challenge for the league trophy.

Additionally, Prisons women defeated Kyengeza Bees by three (30-27), while Prisons men outclassed Evergreen with an impressive 45-25 win, both at the Ndejje University handball Court.

Meanwhile, at the Bombo Army courts, Nkajja women battled to a 19-19 draw against Kyambogo ladies, and UPDF women won 10-0 against Kawanda SS.

Next weekend, -June 17th and 18th-, the League will resume with Match day 7 and 8, at the Kibuli Handball Court.

Among the exciting fixtures, the men’s table leaders, Ndejje Hoppers, will play out a University derby against Kyambogo on Saturday and on Sunday, MAK Bulls will face off against Police, as Kyambogo takes on Prisons men.
