Nigerian Nwachukwu and Benin’s Yacoubou set for a move to the Korea League

More Africans keep knocking on the doors of Korean Volleyball League (KOVO). the Try out is set for 29th April 2022 via Zoom

The latest is Nigerian hitting machine Arinze Nwachukwu who has been shortlisted for the KOV 2022/23 try out this month.

The former Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta Istanbul Turkey hitter has been a sensational at Synergy VBC Mondovì in Italy leading the scorers rack with 502 points this season.

The 20 year old has represented Nigeria at U-19 and U-19 competitions in the past.

Another African listed on the 50 players try out is Benin Hitman Daouda Yacoubou who plays for VKP Bratislava in Slovakia.

Only 7 foreigners can be drafted in the top league, but there is also a place in the lower league if one impresses.

KOVO has been lite in the last 4 years with the arrival of Africa’s top scorer Daudi Okello from Uganda.

Okello plies his trade with Suwon KEPCO Vixtorm and led the team to a 3rd place finish this season.

Another African, Malian beast Noumory Keita playing for Uijeongbu KB Insurance Stars has broken all records in the Korean V-League, he was announced MVP of the league after leading KB to a 2nd place finish this season.

Keita and Okello are among the six foreigners available to be drafted for the next season.
