6-Times Uganda National League Champions Nemostars made quick work of Nkumba University defeating them by 3-0(25-18, 25-15,25-22) in the League Semifinal playoffs last weekend.

Nemostars won the Serie 2-0 to set up a finale date with new side, OBB who defeated Sport-S 2-0 at the same venue.

“Our target was to make it to the play offs and we are here to challenge given that we are going to face giants who have been here.” Said OBB head coach Yakan Lawrence in a previous interview before the playoffs.

The winner will represent Uganda at the African Championships alongside Sport-S who qualified by virtue of winning the 2021 National Club Championship.

“As Nemo, we have targets, this year, all we wanted was to reach the finals and win, so we won’t play in the African Championships and it’s a decision by the club.” Nemostar Head Coach, Andrew Okapis said at a presser.

On the other hand VVC return to the finals after a defeating Sport-S women, they will take on Club Champions Ndejje elite who dispatched KCCA women 2-1 last week.

Teams take a break and return after the Easter break for the best of 3 finales
