“Thank you everyone for believing in me. It takes hardwork, sacrifices, commitment and team work. Thank you my fellow teammates at vipers SC, coaches, the management of vipers, fans, everyone for believing in me.” Ceaser Lobi Manzoki took to his twiiter with gratitude.

The Vipers SC forward was the biggest winner last night with five accolades and an appearance on the season’s best IX as Pilsner and StarTimes awarded outstanding performers of the 2021/22 SUPL season.
Lobi owned the night bagging accolades like Players’ Player of the season, Forward of the season, Top scorer, overall Player of the season and most assists of the season an award to which he controversially beat teammate Milton Kariisa as they both tied at nine assists.
The Congolese striker was involved in 27 goals for the Venoms with 18 goals and nine assists to his name.
Hailing from Bunia in the Democratic Republic of Congo and uncertain about the future then, 25 year old Manzoki joined Vipers SC from As Vita for an undisclosed fee.
“I hope I can become a starter immediately and hope to win some trophies with my new team” were Manzoki’s words in October 2020 as he signed a two year deal with Vipers while Fred Kajoba Kisitu was head coach.
Little did he know that he would live to celebrate nights like this as a gem in Uganda’s football.
“Uganda has a good league and I want the world to know that Uganda has great players.” He emphasized.
However, he jokingly declined to clarify on his rumored move to Tanzania side Simba FC and his future at Vipers.
Other winners from the night were,
Fair play team of the season – UPDF FC
Coaches’ Player of the season – Muhammad Shaban
Young Player of the season – Rashid Kawawa
Goal Keeper of the season – Richard Anyama
Defender of the season – Halid Lwaliwa
Coach of the season – Roberto Oliviera
Vipers SC’s Dr Lawrence Mulindwa too was appreciated with a platinum award last night though he was not present.
