Yaounde, Cameroon | Kenya’s U20 women’s volleyball team, the Junior Malkia Strikers, cruised to a straight-sets victory over Uganda, winning 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-15) during their third match at the 2025 Women’s U20 African Nations Volleyball Championship in Cameroon.
The commanding win comes just a day after their tough 3-1 loss to hosts Cameroon (25-18, 18-25, 19-25, 25-27) on Tuesday, marking a strong comeback for the Kenyan side. Earlier in the tournament, Kenya opened their campaign with an emphatic 3-0 win against Senegal (25-13, 25-12, 25-11) on Monday.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Jackline Barasa, the Junior Malkia Strikers have now secured two wins and one loss as they prepare for a crucial clash against Egypt on Thursday at 4 pm.
The tournament also doubles as the qualifier for the FIVB U20 World Championship.
Kenya’s Malyne Terry was the star of the match against Uganda, delivering an outstanding performance that earned her the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
