Knock Out: Deadly Bwogi unleashes mayhem on “Boxing Cop”

Olympic star Shadir Musa -Bwogi- made a huge statement on Saturday night (14, Jan 2023) at the Legends Night inside a packed Lugogo indoor Arena, when he stopped Ivan Magumba with a ferocious early knockout.

The former Bombers Captain -Bwogi- launched his professional stint in February last year and has since not blinked a second to stamp his presence in the paid ranks.

He knocked out Magumba in less done three minutes, to bring an end to a series of trash talk that had lasted close to a month, since announcing of the fight.

Prior to the match, Ivan weighed two pounds heavier than Shadir but he was sent down to the canvas, left with strength only enough to request for a rematch.

The duo was competing for the national super middle weight title and the winner -Shadir says his next challenge will be the continental belt.

“I believe I have fulfilled whatever I pledged to do. This is the beginning. I trained so hard to come for this title so that I can stretch for the African title as well and I’ll bring it very soon.” Bwogi said.

Shadir is confident about being the best boxer in Uganda and on countless occasions has likened his opponents to the softness of bananas -Menvu- which in the end he lives up to the hype.

“…I’ve always said this is easy work to me and I only had to show up for the fight. I am now ready for the ABU title, and since I already have this one – the National Title-, the ABU belt will be easier to get.” He assured.

The fight marked the resumption of professional Boxing in Uganda this year, organized by Nara Events and Paragon bet.

In the women’s Super Fly weight, Mercy Acayo beat Sandra Attermo, and in the Men’s other bouts Cisse Muhindo lost to John Sserunjogi, and Moses Mukiibi beat Ryan Lawrence.

Bamweyana aka Coach Kawagga’s fight against Isaac Olanya from South Sudan ended in a technical draw while his “TikTok nemesis” Musisi ‘Breaker Breaker’ beat Rajab Fahad.
