Lagos, Nigeria – April 3, 2025: Kenyan teams participating in the prestigious Africa Club Championship tournament in Nigeria had the honor of meeting Kenya’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Isaac Parashina, during the tournament’s official opening ceremony earlier this evening.
The Ambassador extended a warm welcome to the athletes and officials, commending them on their dedication and efforts in representing Kenya on the continental stage. Kenya is represented by Kenya Commecial Bank, Kenya Prisons Services and Kenya Pipeline Company.
Parashina acknowledged their role as not only sports Ambassadors but also as flag-bearers of Kenya’s rich culture and spirit of unity.
Ambassador Parashina further announced plans to organize an additional engagement session with the teams during their stay in Nigeria. This initiative aims to provide the athletes with further inspiration and support as they navigate the championship.
The tournament, which brings together top teams from across Africa, is a platform for showcasing talent, fostering sportsmanship, and promoting cross-cultural connections. The Kenyan teams expressed their gratitude for the ambassador’s encouragement and pledged to give their best as they compete for glory.
16 teams from across 10 Countries in Africa are competition for the sole slot to the 2025 FIVB Club World Championship.
