Kenyan Boxer Christine Ongare has secured a historic victory for her country at the World Women Boxing Championships in New Delhi, India.

Ongare, a former bronze medalist at the Commonwealth Games, defeated Tanzania’s Rahman Maganga in a minimumweight contest, winning all three rounds 5-0 and eventually stopping the match after Maganga failed to survive the mandatory count.

This is not the first time that Ongare has defeated Maganga, as she had previously triumphed over her opponent during the East Africa Club Championships earlier in the year.

Despite predictions favoring Ongare ahead of the match, it was a hard-fought victory that secured Kenya’s second-ever triumph at the World Women Boxing Championships.

The Kenyan team had suffered setbacks earlier in the tournament, with three female boxers exiting before Ongare’s triumph.

However, Musa Benjamin, the head of the technical bench, expressed optimism for more victories in different international championships.

Ongare’s victory will go down in history as a significant moment for Kenyan boxing, and the country will undoubtedly celebrate her achievement.

The talented boxer has demonstrated that she has what it takes to compete at the highest level and will undoubtedly inspire future generations of Kenyan female boxers.

The World Women Boxing Championships have been a showcase of talent from all over the world, with fierce competition between skilled athletes.

However, Ongare’s victory serves as a reminder that hard work and determination can lead to success on the international stage.

Ongare’s achievement is a source of pride for Kenya, and she will be remembered as one of the country’s outstanding boxers.
