Uganda’s Cricket Cranes triumphed over Qatar in a dominant display of cricket prowess in their 3rd ODI match.
The Ugandan team showcased a stunning performance, with Kenneth Waiswa leading the way with an unbeaten 101 runs.
Uganda won the toss and opted to bat first, with Roger Mukasa and Arnold Otwani laying down a solid foundation.
Waiswa then came to the crease and proceeded to dominate the Qatar bowling attack, scoring an unbeaten century and leading Uganda to a formidable total of 292/6 in their 50 overs.
In response, Qatar struggled to keep up with the required run rate and lost wickets at regular intervals.
Kamran Khan and Dharmang Patel provided some resistance, but it wasn’t enough as the Qatar team was eventually bowled out for a mere 154 runs in 39 overs.
Henry Ssenyondo and Frank Nsubuga were the pick of the bowlers for Uganda, taking three and two wickets respectively.
The Uganda Cricket Cranes emerged as convincing winners, triumphing over Qatar by a massive 138 runs.
The victory was a much-needed confidence boost for the Ugandan team, who had suffered a narrow defeat in their first match.
The players were thrilled with the result, and Waiswa was named player of the match for his outstanding performance with the bat.
This win puts Uganda in a strong position in the series, with one more match remaining.
The team will be hoping to continue their winning streak and secure a series victory over Qatar.
