Nairobi, Kenya – 26 March 2025 | Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) women’s Volleyball team has intensified preparations for the upcoming CAVB African Women’s Club Championship, scheduled from April 1st – 14th, 2025 in Abuja, Nigeria.

As the reigning Kenya National Volleyball Federation National League champions, KCB aims to reclaim the continental title they last secured in 2022 (3-1) over Egypt’s Al Ahly.

Training at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, the team benefits from a full-strength squad, including the return of key players Juliana Namutira and Belinda Barasa who were absent during the inaugural KVF Kenya Cup.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Japheth Munala, KCB is focusing on refining tactics and enhancing squad depth to make a strong impact in Abuja.

The official flag-off ceremony is set for Friday, March 28th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. at KCB Ruaraka Sports Club, marking their final preparations before departure.

With a rich history in African volleyball, KCB is determined to bring the championship trophy back home, reaffirming their dominance on the continental stage.

KCB will be joined by Kenya Pipeline Company and Kenya Prisons for the trip.
