Abuja Nigeria, April 8, 2025 – The 2025 Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship host Nigeria Customs Services crashed out after being eliminated by Kenya Commercial Bank 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-17)
Customs initially started well, although KCB soon overtook and dominated the set. KCB’s tactical serve held Customs attacks off. KCB won the set 25-19.
It was a similar pattern in the second set, with KCB leading 11-4, Customs called for a timeout in order to claw back to the set but the Kenyans proved far too strong for the host. The second set ended 25-17.
Customs were in trouble early on in the third set again as KCB pushed on confidently from 5-2 to lead 17-12. KCB meant business as they won 25-17. It was a clean 3-0 sweep.
KCB will now play defending Champions Zamalek in the Quarter finals.
