Uganda Bombers captain Joshua Tukamuhebwa struggled but won 5:0 against new boy Innocent Omoko in the Uganda Boxing Champions League season two.
Omoko fighting in the 64kg elite category took the fight to the national team Captain who is also known for knocking out opponents.
Omoko from army side UPDF however lost steam in the 4th and 5th round to give Tukamuhebwa a much needed win of the night.
The main fight between Broline Kimbugwe and Richard Kasujja also lived up to the billing with Broline coming 5:0 victor in the first asking.

A mammoth crowd filled up the 980 seaters Lugogo indoor stadium on the night

‘I am happy with the level of boxing displayed here today, new boxers have cone on board and won bouts in their maiden appearances, we however have to improve in the coaching department, boxer have the power to last, but something is lacking, we are therefore looking at foreign coaches to boost our technical wing’ Said UBF President Moses Muhangi.
The Champions League is a biweekly competition where top four boxers in each category fight for points on a round robin format.
“Every champion will have a belt in their respective weight category at the end of Champions league in December, and not a medal as it was in the first tournament,” Muhangi added.
