Alex Isabirye has been unveiled as the new head coach of Vipers Sports Club, replacing Roberto Beto Bianchi Pellister, who resigned following a disappointing seven-game stint.

Isabirye, who has previously coached at URA FC, Victoria University, Kyetume FC, Soana FC, Busoga United, and Horseed FC, expressed his excitement to lead the team.

“I am incredibly proud and excited to represent Vipers Sports Club, this fantastic football club,” said Isabirye during his unveiling. “I am very excited to be here and look forward to meeting and working with the exciting group of players and to develop a team and culture that our amazing fans can be proud of.”

Isabirye is a highly experienced coach who led URA FC to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League title in 2012.

He has also helped Victoria University and BUL win the Uganda Cup. According to the club website, Isabirye will be working alongside other coaches, namely Richard Wasswa, Ibrahim Mugisha, and Kato Ibrahim.

Isabirye’s first game in charge of Vipers will be against Wakiso Giants in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 on Tuesday at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

Fans of the club are eagerly anticipating the debut of their new coach and hoping that he can help turn the team’s fortunes around.

Vipers Sports Club is one of the most successful football clubs in Uganda, having won the Uganda Premier League four times and the Uganda Cup twice.

With Isabirye at the helm, the club will be hoping to add more silverware to their trophy cabinet and cement their status as one of the best teams in the country.
