Kampala, Uganda – 31st March 2025 | The CAVB Zone V has opened bid for the 2025 Beach Volleyball event. Countries within the Zone V regions are required to submit in their bids by 15th April 2025. The window for the competition has been earmarked for 15th-30th May 2025.
In a circular by the CAVB Zone V President, Sadik Zaid Nasiwu, the Zonal competition is an Under-21 double gender event targeting players born on or after 1st January 2005.
“We hereby invite your National Federations and/or event organizers who are interested in hosting the U-21 Beach Volleyball Championships (Players Born on or after 1st January 2005) Doubles Sex between 15th-30th May 2025, to express interest not later than 15th April 2025,” the statement reads.
Bidding entities are required to indicate their proposed bid amount and provide relevant documentation, including the Hosting Application Forms, the related O-Forms, and the 2025 Beach Volleyball General Questionnaire. The bid process also adheres to the CAVB Competition Regulations, which remain unchanged for this edition of the tournament.
The championship is expected to attract top young beach volleyball talent from across CAVB Zone V, further fostering the growth of the sport in the region. Interested federations are encouraged to act swiftly to meet the submission deadline and stand a chance to host this prestigious competition.
Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda have hosted major beach volleyball events in the past.
Countries will use the Zonal Event to fine tune for the CAVB U-21 Beach Volleyball Championship to be hosted in Durban, South Africa from 12 to 17 June 2025.
