Rabat, Morocco, February 16, 2022 – FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça on Wednesday presided over the opening of Confederation of African Volleyball new headquarters in Rabat with President Bouchra Hajij, ministry of national education and sport of Morocco, ANOCA Vice President, CAVB board and executive members present.
‘’The opening of this incredible new home for the Confederation of African Volleyball is an important moment. From this new home, I expect we can continue the work in building partnership with NFs which is the key to creating a strong volleyball community and having strong national teams says FIVB President Ary Graca.
“The FIVB will always be here to support and empower our this great continent, and I look forward to seeing African teams on podiums in the years ahead he added”. I urge all of you to support and guide President Bouchra Hajij as she strive to change the face of volleyball in Africa Dr Graca concluded.
This is a proud moment for us all and this day is so dear to my heart, CAVB President Bouchra Hajij said. These new headquarters will provide amazing working conditions for us, in our drive to build a more transparent, formidable, and conducive environment for CAVB.
We are delighted to now welcome everyone to our beautiful new headquarters. This will allow us to work even harder to develop volleyball in Africa president Bouchra stated.
ANOCA 1st Vice President Joao Da Costa Alegre AFONSO thanked the CAVB president and her board for the efforts and progress made thus far since assuming office.
The opening of the headquarters marks an important milestone in CAVB’s volleyball journey to continental transformation and ANOCA will be there to give you all the support he said.
Chakib Benmoussa from the ministry of National education and sport highlighted the excitement of having Morocco as the home of volleyball in Africa.
This is a great day for us and we will cherish this moment to inspire us to develop the sport of volleyball. My ministry will continue to support the course of the game through partnership with CAVB he said.
