In an action-packed day of cricket, Tornado Bee emerged victorious in the Championship Final of the National Men’s T20 League, while Aziz Damani continued their dominance by securing their sixth consecutive Premiership Final title.

The thrilling matches were held on Sunday -16th July- at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.

The Championship Final saw Tornado Bee square off against Premier in a clash that lived up to its billing.

Tornado Bee set an imposing target of 206 runs after a strong batting display, with their final scorecard reading 205 for 5.

In response, Premier stumbled and fell short, succumbing to the relentless bowling attack from Tornado Bee and being bundled out for 127 runs.

The result handed Tornado Bee a commanding victory by 78 runs and secured their place as the champions of the National Men’s T20 League.

Meanwhile, in the Premiership Final, Aziz Damani faced off against the resilient Avengers, who were competing in their final appearance.

Aziz Damani posted a competitive total of 178 runs for the loss of 8 wickets, thanks to an outstanding half-century by Riazat Ali Shah (78).

Despite the Avengers’ best efforts, they failed to chase down the target and finished at 153 for 9.

Aziz Damani emerged triumphant, winning by 25 runs, and continued their incredible run of six consecutive T20 titles.

The match was a showcase of Riazat Ali Shah’s brilliance, as he played a pivotal role in Aziz Damani’s victory.

Shah’s innings not only propelled his team to a formidable total but also showcased his modern batting prowess.

The Avengers, on the other hand, were left to rue missed opportunities as they dropped Shah twice, paying a hefty price for their errors.

Earlier in the day, Tornado Bee secured the Division 2 title with an impressive performance against Premier in the morning final.

Nicholas Kebba’s splendid knock of 88 runs powered the former champions to their first title of the season.

As the T20 season comes to a thrilling conclusion, right up next will be the start of the 50-over season, which is set to kick off next weekend.
