Abuja Nigeria, April 11, 2025 – Record holders Al Ahly will meet Zamalek in all Egyptian final on Sunday after beating CF Carthage 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-21) on Friday.
Al Ahly took an early lead and dominated for the first set with some strong hitting for a 25-15 win.
Al Ahly came back fighting in the second set and led in the first proceedings. They showed good structured play and defence and eventually outplayed to win the second set 25-23.
Al Ahly launched a passionate display of tactics. They rallied the crowd and fed off their support. It was 7-7 with CFC cruising for a comeback. Al Ahly regrouped to avoid a set and stunned the Tunisians 25-21
The final is set for Sunday 13th April at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
