The November 26th to 30th, 2025 event at Hotel Africana brings together women in sports, leaders, and stakeholders from across Africa for a transformative experience of empowerment, connection, and celebration of the African Sports.

The Kampala edition is themed; Uniting to End Gender-Based Violence.

With a bold vision of fostering inclusivity and equity in sports, AWISI is rallying voices and talents from 52 African countries, uniting over 650 women from diverse sporting disciplines.

“This summit is more than just an event—it’s a movement,” said Dr. Mariam  Mpaata, President of AWISI. “We are rewriting the narrative, breaking down barriers, and creating a new era for women in sports, one where opportunity and visibility are not the exception, but the norm.”

Through interactive panels, keynote sessions, workshops, and strategic networking opportunities, participants will engage in meaningful discussions, share lived experiences, and co-create solutions that promote safety, dignity, and inclusion in sports.
