Kigali, Rwanda – 19 June 2025 | The stage is officially set in Kigali as top clubs from East Africa converge for the highly anticipated Genocide Memorial Tournament, taking place from June 20th–22nd, 2025.
With national pride and continental rivalry on the line, this year’s edition promises electric volleyball action in both the men’s and women’s categories.
The three-day tournament, which unfolds at Petit Stade, is organised by the local volleyball governing body (FRVB) in collaboration with the National Olympic and Sports Committee to commemorate victims of the 1994 Genocide through volleyball.
In the previous GMT, Police (men) and APR (women) volleyball clubs triumphed, claiming the 2024 volleyball Genocide Memorial Tournament after edging Gisagara and Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) respectively in the finals.
