Istanbul, Turkey, 8 May 2025. Kenyan International Pamela Owino Adhiambo is the only African undergoing trials at the 2025/26 KOVO try out currently happening in Istanbul Turkey.
Adhiambo, a regular opposite with Kenya Women’s National team also turns out for LP Viesti, South-west Finland.
Cameroonian International Laetitia Moma Bassoko is the only African currently playing in the Korean League with Suwon Hyundai E&C Hillstate.
“The tryout is fine and nice, I am hoping for the best”. Said Adhiambo who also played for Kenya Pipeline in the Kenya Volleyball League.
34 top players from across the World are eyeing the 7 professional contract slots at the Korean Volleyball League.
“Everyone has been putting their best foot forward to be able to achieve their dream in playing in Korea. I also had to do my best since playing in Asia would be a dream come true for leave alone playing in Korea, I’m very much optimistic about the future and hoping for the best no matter the outcome from this tryout. I believe every one of us will have the best season whether in the draft or not but I wish me and my fellow players all the very best”. Adhiambo, best hitter at the 2022 CAVB Zone V Club Championship said.
