Twenty beach volleyball teams from across Africa are gearing up for the second edition of the African Beach Games that will take place in the coastal town of Hammamet, Tunisia, from June 23 to 30, 2023.

A total of 10 men’s and 10 women’s teams will participate in the tournament, with each team consisting of four players, deviating from the traditional two-player format of beach volleyball.

The beach volleyball matches, a highlight of the event, will be held from June 23 to 27, captivating spectators and participants alike.

These teams represent a diverse array of African countries, including powerhouses like Morocco, Algeria, and Nigeria, as well as emerging forces such as Mozambique, Botswana, and Mauritius.

Organized by the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), this edition of the African Beach Games aims to determine the continent’s beach volleyball champion while serving as a qualifier for the ANOC World Beach Games to be held in Bali, Indonesia.

The tournament presents an opportunity for teams to demonstrate their prowess on the sand and potentially secure a place in the prestigious global event.
