Gor Mahia Fans Await Official Announcement of Kaddu and Bayisenge Signings

The two players should have been unveiled on arrival, but the team is serving a transfer ban from FIFA as a result of their failure to fulfill agreements made with some of their previous players.

Gor Mahia Head Coach, Jonathan McKinstry, has revealed that the club’s transfer strategy will focus on acquiring top-quality players with significant experience or the next generation of talented players. This comes as the club prepares to announce the signings of two players, Patrick Kaddu and Emery Bayisenge.

In an interview with the media, McKinstry stated that the club’s primary focus was on players who would be able to slot straight into the system, given the limited time available for training during the midseason.

He added that both Kaddu and Bayisenge fit the bill perfectly, as they not only possess tactical awareness but also have the right character for the team.

McKinstry emphasized the importance of signing players with a proven track record, highlighting Kaddu’s 30 caps for the Ugandan national team and Bayisenge’s 60 caps for Rwanda.

He also pointed out that Gor Mahia would not sign small players, as the club strives for excellence in all its dealings.

The head coach acknowledged that there had been instances where the club had signed players who were not up to standard.

However, he assured fans that the transfer strategy going forward would be different, with the team looking to sign only the best.

McKinstry singled out Enock Wanyama and Sylvester Owino as two players who represented the next generation of Harambee Stars and had the potential to become hot talents in the future.

Gor Mahia fans will be eagerly awaiting the official announcement of the signings of Kaddu and Bayisenge, as they look to bolster their squad for the coming season should FIFA lift the embargo.

The club has already made significant strides in the transfer market, with the acquisition of midfielder Benson Omala earlier this year.

The club’s supporters will be hoping that these new signings will help Gor Mahia to reclaim their position at the top of Kenyan football, after finishing third in the 2021/22 season.
