The Orange Block Busters have a chance to extend their winning streak to three after two back-to-back wins against KAVC and Sky Volleyball Club in the previous fixtures.
They play UCU on Saturday, a side that is yet to recover from a loss in straight sets to KCCA last weekend at the Old Kampala Arena in Mengo.
Both teams had a rough start to the season losing to KAVC and Sport-S respectively in the MTN Arena Lugogo, and that’s where they return this Saturday for a clash that decides who rises and who falls.
Despite the rough start, OBB have managed to recompose themselves peddling from the bottom to the middle of the table as they aim to retain the men’s Serie A title.
Three points for OBB brings them closer to the top half of the table with 11 points but not close enough to threaten the top four spots on the log.
UCU will seek to compensate for the 3-0 loss to the Kasasiro Boys with a win against reigning champions OBB, if they are to keep their title hopes alive.
OBB Head Coach Luke Eittit is pleased with the team bonding but at the same time worried about the team’s terrible defense which he says has been the main focus in training.
Still on Saturday, table leaders Sport-S will be taking on Kampala Capital City Authority as serie A debutants face off with Luwero-based Ndejje University Sharks at the MTN Arena in Lugogo.
