Finals
Suntory Sunbirds 3-1 Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi (28–26 25–23 23–25 25–17)

When Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi left Indonesia for the 2023 Asian Volleyball Club Championships, their dreams were to land in the medal bracket in Manama, Bahrain.

This was different for their opposite Daudi Okello, he had the World Club Championship insight.

The Ugandan had taken matters into his hand by destroying Qatar Police in the semifinals, 24 points on the night, but the script changed in the finals against Suntory Sunbirds last Sunday.

‘It was a tough game against a tough opponent who had been in the 2022 final, but we gave a good account of ourselves, being a new team, we have made our mark and learned important lessons’. Said Daudi Okello.

Suntory, the Japan League Champions were unstoppable with the help of Russian man mountain Dmitry Aleksandrovich Muserskiy aka ‘Small boy’, the eventual MVP.

‘It was a great experience playing against the best player in the World, I have learned a few things from him in the two times we played against each other’. Okello Concluded.

Okello will now take a short season break before embarking on National team duty with Uganda where he is the Vice Captain.
